In their first-ever Champions League match, the Lake Como club dismantled Leipzig. Next up is a trip to Feyenoord on 14 October.
Como’s rise reached a new level on 10 September. In the club’s first-ever Champions League match, they beat RB Leipzig 4–1, one of the standout results of the opening matchday.
The win put Como fifth in the early league-phase table, among a group of perfect starters that also included Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester United.
It followed a solid domestic start: Como took four points from their opening two Serie A games, with striker Anastasios Douvikas among the early scorers.
Matchday 2 sends Como to Rotterdam to face Feyenoord on 14 October. Leipzig, now coached by Martín Demichelis, host PSV the night before and need a response.
